Senior Functional Lead - AI – Remote or hybrid (Mexico)

We are seeking a Senior Functional Lead to join a specialized technical team dedicated to accelerating automation across our global business systems. In this role, you will leverage Generative AI and Agentic AI to transform how operational processes are designed and executed. You will be responsible for the end-to-end functional design, configuration, and delivery of automated solutions for critical business workflows.

While experience in Finance processes and SAP environments is considered a nice to have, this role is open to strong functional leaders with experience driving automation, process transformation, and the adoption of emerging technologies across enterprise platforms (e.g., ERP, data platforms, cloud environments). You will act as the main bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure that AI-driven solutions are effectively designed, implemented, and adopted within our enterprise landscape (including SAP and AWS environments, where applicable).

Key Responsibilities

• AI Functional Design: Lead functional requirements and business logic design for Generative and Agentic AI solutions, translating business needs into clear functional specifications for technical teams.
• Governance & Validation: Define testing and validation frameworks to ensure automated outputs meet quality, compliance, and internal control standards.
• Enterprise Systems Integration (Nice to have: SAP): Ensure automation solutions integrate smoothly with existing enterprise systems (e.g., ERP platforms such as SAP, if applicable).
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business stakeholders to understand pain points, identify automation opportunities, and translate them into actionable technical requirements.
• Cloud-Native Enablement: Collaborate with technical teams to leverage cloud platforms (e.g., AWS) for hosting and scaling AI and automation solutions.
• Process Optimization: Re-engineer existing business processes to make them “automation-ready,” ensuring new tools can be embedded without disrupting operations.
• Adoption & Change Management: Drive adoption through documentation, enablement sessions, and ongoing stakeholder engagement.

• Experience: 7+ years in functional roles related to business systems, digital transformation, process automation, or enterprise solutions.
• Process Expertise (Nice to have: Finance): Solid understanding of business processes; experience with finance processes (Record-to-Report, Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash) is a plus, but not mandatory.
• ERP / Enterprise Systems (Nice to have: SAP): Experience working with ERP systems; SAP Finance/FICO knowledge is considered a plus.
• Agile Mindset: Comfortable working in fast-paced, evolving environments and moving quickly from concept to prototype.
• AI & Automation: Interest or experience in automation initiatives (RPA, workflow automation, AI-driven solutions).
• Communication: Strong ability to bridge business and technical teams, translating complex concepts into clear business language.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Python, SQL, or ABAP (nice to have).
• Exposure to manufacturing, automotive, or technology industries (nice to have).
• Project Management or Agile certifications (PMP, Scrum, SAFe) are a plus.
• Experience integrating AI/ML tools with enterprise systems (e.g., SAP S/4HANA) is an advantage.
