The MHP Americas’ MDM Data Governance Solution Architect will support various projects by defining the Enterprise Data Governance roadmap for our clients. This role will need to comprehend technical data architecture and design flexible and agile end-to-end data solutions along the entire value chain of our clients across various industries. The candidate needs to have proven experience in defining and implementing a roadmap for data lifecycle management, including Data Governance, Master Data Management, Data Migration and Data Quality. In addition, the Solution Architect will be required to ensure our services are at the highest level of quality for our existing client base, cultivate relationships with new customers, develop new business opportunities, and continuously adjust our current and future offerings according to market demands.

 

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for design, implementation, and configuration of Data Governance solutions to meet business requirements within an entire ERP project lifecycle
  • Customize and enhance data models, workflows, and user interfaces within a MDG framework
  • Lead and support the governance of master data across the organization
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to define data standards and ensure data quality
  • Work on integrating SAP MDG with other SAP modules and third-party systems
  • Collaborate with the integration team to design and implement data interfaces
  • Establish and enforce data quality standards and procedures
  • Create long term relationships with clients and achieve a strong reputation as a trusted advisor for Data Governance related topics
  • Take over responsibility as (sub) project team lead and integrate and coach new team members
  • Provide leadership and mentorship for best practices to other teams, clients and senior management
  • Identify and lead generation of business development opportunities around Data Governance

  

QualificationsQualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in Data Governance implementation and configuration
  • In-depth knowledge of SAP MDG modules and related SAP technologies, preferred
  • Strong understanding of data modeling and data governance principles
  • Profound ERP project lifecycle and go-live experience, ideally within an SAP environment
  • Project management experience including project planning, task management and prioritization, and release management
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills (oral and written), with the ability to successfully interact with a wide variety of stakeholders
  • Professional appearance with strong customer focus and analytical and structured working attitude 
  • Strong attention to details and ability to work autonomously and manage multiple tasks with excellent problem-solving ability
  • SAP MDG certification is a plus
  • Percentage of required travel: up to 100%

 

Physical requirements:

  • This job operates in an office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, cameras, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
  • While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to talk, hear, walk, sit, stand, climb stairs on occasion with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to effectively work and complete tasks in an open office/noisy environment.
  • Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time while traveling in a car or airplane.
